Second MFA Meeting
It was exciting to see each other again, and to learn about the work and the experiences of each of us.
We had long talks, full of questions and answers, and we had to present it all in 5 min to our tutors on the second day.
Super generous exchange, hours of talking, sharing, questioning, triggering..
Advisors or Tutors?
“I am collaborating with you, I am not here to give you advice, but to work together as professionals finding the best solutions to your projects” says Jorge Manilla to his group of students.
We became became more and more comfortable with our new professional colleagues.
Moving to a workshop of 3 days with Lucy Sarneel, “Objects have social life”
Here you go girls, collect things that you keep around you, it could be anything, from a piece of paper to a tree in a pot, so you can bring it to school with you.
Think about what you have collected, select some of them, make the connection, find the meaning, then make it bigger.
it is time to contextualize the pieces, and the results were unexpected
What an intense conceptual week, it is time to change to some technical exercises and new challenges with Andronikos Sagiannos.
Cut and solder, then cut and solder, then again cut and solder. Make sure not to see the soldering from the other part
Meanwhile we never fail to celebrate! Cake, Procecco, and a good laugh celebratiing Lucia Massei’s birthday !! HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!
And now it is time to make your own soldering, it has to follow the color of the metal alloy that you want to use, oh and of course the melting temperature is the most important. Glasses on everybody !
It is working?, not working? , nice color, palladium, silver, zinc, gold, copper …… experimenting, experimenting, again and again. it is time for a glass of wine !
We will see each other again in February, until then work, work, work…….
